Training promotes forced return monitoring in line with EU, national and human rights standards
On 18–21 November and 2–5 December 2014 in Vienna, ICMPD conducted training for representatives from several EU Member States on forced return monitoring.
Conference launches new border management project in Azerbaijan and Georgia
The conference highlighted the project’s aim of strengthening cooperation and coordination between the border agencies of the two countries through better border protection and control procedures.
Good practices in information exchange and training are introduced to border guards during study visit to Poland
During the four-day visit, border guards from the EaP region were introduced to Polish good practices in international cooperation, information exchange and training, including new training modules on risk analysis and inter-agency cooperation, developed under the project.
Training familiarises border guards from Belarus and Ukraine with integrated border management (IBM) techniques
The training is the first activity carried out by ICMPD for the EU-funded project ‘Strengthening Surveillance and Bilateral Coordination Capacity along the Common Border between Belarus and Ukraine’ (SURCAP II).
