ICMPD Provides Training Programme for Bulgarian Representatives

A special training for representatives of the Ministry of Interior of Bulgaria and the Secretary of the National Migration Council took place from on 14 - 16 February 2012 at ICMPD's headquarters in Vienna.

The training was comprised of several lectures by ICMPD staff on current migration trends and policy findings with a focus on irregular migration, return and reintegration.  The six Bulgarian experts also had the opportunity to discuss these topics with ICMPD staff after the lectures.  Ongoing regional and international cooperation in the framework of migration dialogues to which ICMPD acts as a secretariat were also presented.  In addition, the training dealt with the EU Migration and Asylum Policy framework and the recent Communication of the EC on Global Approach on Migration and Mobility.
