EU-Tunisia Migration Cooperation Agenda (ETMA)
Objective: The project aims to promote a comprehensive foundation of cooperation on migration between Tunisia and Europe, in the context of Tunisia’s post-revolution recovery. It achieves this overarching objective by fostering the exchange of expertise and know-how and the establishment of an action-oriented dialogue to initiate technical cooperation in the short- and long-term.
Summary: In cooperation with the Tunisian Government and at the initiative of ICMPD, the envisaged project is implemented as a concrete follow up to the conference "The role of migration in the development of post-revolution Tunisia". This conference was held by ICMPD from 13 - 14 July 2011 in Tunis, in collaboration with the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with the support of Switzerland.
The project addresses six thematic components, namely: (1) Mobility/Legal Migration, (2) Diaspora Outreach and Development, (3) Return, Readmission and Reintegration, (4) Border Management and Document Security, (5) Pilot Projects (addressing integration/re-integration) and (6) Migration Management Strategy Development.

- identify examples and best practices of functioning outreach youth work, taking into account migrant backgrounds
- elaborate on options for a systematic inclusion of prevention, intervention and postvention in general integration policies and measures

Building Training and Analytical Capacities on Migration in Moldova and Georgia (GovAc)
Objective: The purpose of GovAc is to set up a durable mechanism which ensures self-sufficient and institutionalised training capacities in Moldova and Georgia for the management of migration and asylum.
Summary: The methodology of GovAc builds on the development of cooperation and partnership between government and academia, between beneficiary countries and participating EU Member States and between Georgia and Moldova. More information about the GOVAC project can be found in the most recent GOVAC/REVIS newsletter.
As part of the GOVAC project workplan, Knowledge Transfer Workshops were organised in Tbilisi (Georgia) and Chisinau (Moldova) in October and November, 2011. The workshops took place for governmental and academia modules in parallel: both target groups had separate and joint sessions. The aim of the workshops was to present and analyse the possible professional and academia migration training models existing in the European Union and Schengen countries, to undertake the first activities on the mapping of the migration curricula and their content, and to discuss possibilities of future cooperation between the government and academia. The representatives of all migration related governmental institutions took part in the workshops, as well as representatives of universities involved in the implementation of the project. The main results of the workshop were first drafts of governmental and academia migration curricula which were developed jointly by Georgian/Moldovan and foreign experts during the working groups sessions. The curriculum will be finalised and agreed by all project partners in the nearest future.

Impact Analysis of Integration and Migration Policies Regarding Third Countries Nationals in European Countries (WIKAN)
Objective: The concrete objectives of WIKAN are to:
- Determine the aims of political measures and programmes for integration in selected EU Member States (Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK)
- Analyse possibilities and limitations of an impact analysis of policies and measures in the area of integration
- Develop concrete proposals and recommendations for a systematic impact analysis on political measures for integration
Summary: Against the background of intense discussions on the integration of third country nationals, integration policies and integration measures have became increasingly important within general migration policies. However, in which exact ways the responsible authorities evaluate the effectiveness of their policies has not yet been researched and a systematic comparison of methods used for an impact analysis of integration policies is still missing. The comparative study will examine corresponding perspectives and experiences made by experts and stakeholders dealing with integration in Austria and other EU Member States.
