Related Activities
In 2009, the MTM Dialogue entered its 4th phase "A Dialogue in Action". Multiple concrete activities have been implemented in this ongoing phase. From 2009 - 2010, the following projects were completed:
- Strengthening Reception and Detention Capacities in Lebanon (STREDECA),
- the joint ICMPD-IOM project Linking Emigrant Communities for More Development – Inventory of Institutional Capacities and Practices, and the
- MTM i-Map second development phase.
MTM meetings took place in The Hague, Addis Ababa, Damascus, London, Athens, and a second one in The Hague.
In 2011, MTM partner states decided to extend the 4th phase “A Dialogue in Action” with the implementation of the programme Strengthening African and Middle Eastern Diaspora Policy through South-South Exchange (AMEDIP) and the third development phase of the MTM i-Map.
The current AMEDIP and MTM i-Map activities are foreseen to run until 2014.
The 2011 - 2014 activities are funded by the European Commission, France, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
