Southern Dimension
The department develops and manages activities and projects taking place within or focusing on Europe's Southern and East-Mediterranean neighbours, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. In that framework, it also coordinates and manages the migration dialogues with a Southern Dimension.
The department leads the strategy development for the geographic and topical areas of its concern and develops and maintains knowledge and analysis on all issues of interest to the organisation within its regional dimension.
The Southern Dimension is comprised of the 4 Southern migration dialogues: the MTM, MME, the Rabat Process and EUROMED, as well as the 6 Competence Centres whenever they are carrying out projects and activities in the regions of the Southern Dimension.
