Transatlantic Journeys: An exploratory research on human trafficking from Brazil to Italy and Portugal

The exploratory research "Transatlantic Journeys" on human trafficking from Brazil to Italy and Portugal was conducted in the framework of the EU funded project "Promoting Transnational Partnerships: Preventing and Responding to Trafficking in Human Beings from Brazil to EU Member States", which aims at contributing to combat trafficking in human beings by reducing the incidence of trafficking from Brazil to EU Member States, particularly Portugal and Italy, in the medium to long term.

This publication presents and analyses the findings of the exploratory research, which was conducted by three different research teams, working independently in Brazil, Italy and Portugal.
