  • “Istanbul Commitments” adopted by close to 40 countries On 20 February close to 40 countries adopted the “Istanbul Commitments on the Silk Routes Partnership for Migration” and its action plan “A Call for Action – a five year plan” in Istanbul, Turkey. The adoption followed a long negotiation process and the resulting documents provide the Budapest Process with the tools for even better multi-lateral cooperation on migration along the Silk Routes.read more

Project News: Comprehensive Migration Policy for Afghanistan presented in Kabul, Afghanistan
Following a MoU signed between ICMPD and Afghanistan’s Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) in July 2017, a Comprehensive Migration Policy (CMP) for Afghanistan was developed during a two-year process. On 24 June, the CMP has been officially presented in Kabul, Afghanistan.
