Speech for the 4th Euro-African Ministerial Conference on Migration and Development in Rome

ICMPD's Director General, Mr Peter Widermann, spoke at the 4th Euro-African Ministerial Conference on Migration and Development in Rome on 27 November 2014. In this speech, Mr Widermann stressed the importance of migration dialogues and regional initiatives, as well as their operationalisation, for effective migration management.

Speech for the High-level Conference for the Project ‘EU Support to Law Enforcement in Bosnia and Herzegovina’

ICMPD's Director General, Mr Peter Widermann, spoke at the High-level Conference for the project 'EU Support to Law Enforcement in Bosnia and Herzegovina', which took place on 24 April 2014 in Sarajevo.  Mr Widermann spoke about ICMPD's close cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina and the many achievements of the project.

Speech '20 Years of ICMPD and Future Migration Challenges'

The Director General of ICMPD, Mr Peter Widermann, spoke at the special event 'ICMPD and Bulgaria – 20 years of evolving migration policy cooperation', which took place on 2 April 2014 in Sofia, Bulgaria. In his speech, Mr Widermann looked back on the past 20 years of ICMPD's history, including ICMPD's long-standing cooperation with Bulgaria. He also presented a selection of the predictions and recommendations of the ICMPD study '10 Observations on the Future of Migration'

Keynote Speech ‘10 Observations on the Future of Migration’

The Director General of ICMPD, Mr Peter Widermann, spoke at the ICMPD 20th Anniversary Symposium: 10 Observations on the Future of Migration, which took place on 7 November 2013 in Vienna, Austria. In his speech, Mr Widermann presented the predictions and recommendations of the ICMPD study '10 Observations on the Future of Migration'. He also urged all actors working in migration-related fields to cooperate and coordinate their actions and policies for "consistent, complementary and  concerted action".
