Summary
The objective of the Enhancing Border Control Capacities for the Nigerian Immigration Service (MT Nigeria) Project is to strengthen Nigeria’s ability to manage its borders effectively by enhancing the intervention and rapid-response capacity of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) through the establishment and operationalization of Mobile Teams (MTs). These MTs are designed as flexible, well-equipped, and rapidly deployable border patrol units capable of responding to irregular migration, transnational crime, and emerging security threats in high-risk and hard-to-reach border areas.
