On the panel, he was joined by Mr Antonio Vitorino (IOM Director General), Dr. Kerem Kinik (Red Crescent/IFRC) and Dr. Savaş Ünlü (Director DGMM Turkey). Andrea Sanke moderated the panel.

Executive Summary
“Sustainable Migration Management through supporting Implementation of development sensitive migration policies and Initiatives in Türkiye (SUMMIT)” project aims to further support the establishment and implementation of an integrated, long-term, development-sensitive and sustainable migration policy framework at central and regional level with the special focus on labour market integration of various groups of migrants and refugees.
SUMMIT constitutes the continuation of previous initiatives “Sessiz Destek” and “Support the Implementation of Development-Sensitive Migration Policies in Türkiye (SIDEM)” Projects that demonstrated the need to continue measures related to both development sensitive migration policy on a central and regional level as well as concrete measures related to labour market integration of various groups of migrants.
The project is funded by the State Secretariat for Migration of Switzerland (SEM).
Objectives
The project specifically aims to support the implementation of development sensitive migration policy and strategy at the central and regional level and increase the institutional capacities on migration and development on the central and regional level to formulate strategic policy directions and support the development of policy framework documents. In addition, it is intended to support the development and implementation of labour market integration measures and project initiatives in selected sectors
The objective of the project is to further support the establishment and implementation of an integrated, long-term, development-sensitive and sustainable migration policy framework at the central and regional level with the special focus on labour market integration of various groups of migrants and refugees. The project aims to achieve its purpose through activities under three components:
Support to implementation of development sensitive migration policies at the central level
Support to Development and Implementation of Development-Sensitive Migration Policy at Regional Level
Labour Market Integration
