With an eagerness to promote access to higher education and foster social harmony, the European Union has unveiled the 'European Union Scholarships Project.' Spearheading this initiative is the ICMPD Country Office in Türkiye, in collaboration with Ankara and Hasan Kalyoncu Universities, as well as Marmara Municipalities Union, as co-applicant consortium members, covering different regions in Türkiye.
The project provides scholarship support to increase the quality of higher education and associated services to undergraduate/graduate studies. Gender mainstreaming and disability inclusion and other vulnerabilities are the fundamental approaches during the implementation. The project focuses to create synergies for reaching the overall and specific objectives and promotes partnerships between universities, municipalities, government institutions, and international and national organizations for upskilling students with regard to higher education, social cohesion and integration to employment opportunities.
