Summary

The ECOIMPACT project supports the efforts of the Turkish government in its search for durable solutions for refugees in a complementary manner. The efforts toward humanitarian intervention and the establishment of a sustainable and comprehensive migration management system have yielded fruitful results. Now, the focus has shifted to consolidating the newly established migration management system in Turkey through targeted socio-economic integration as well as the implementation of development-sensitive migration policies and programmes at the central and local levels.

In line with this perspective, the main objective of the ECOIMPACT project is to contribute to the evidence-based migration policy development as well as to further strengthen socio-economic inclusion in Turkey through analysing the economic impact of SuTPs on the Turkish economy. The project specifically aims to support the evidence-based policy development through research and analysis of the economic impact of SuTPs; strengthen institutional capacities through improving institutional knowledge on employability, consumption, production as well as investment capacities of SuTPs; and support the development of policy recommendations in various aspects of SuTPs’ economic impact and contribution on the Turkish economy.
