Project News: MC2CM Call for Targeted City Actions launched

23 January 2019

The MC2CM call for Targeted City Actions is now open for municipalities/regional government bodies to submit their proposal for actions. The objective of the call is to award actions that contribute to foster rights-based urban migration governance systems and advance social cohesion in the Mediterranean region.

The eligible entities for this call are local or regional government bodies, as well as local or regional associations or networks. The maximum amount of funding available per Action is 50,000 Euros. Consideration will be given for joint action proposals up to a maximum of 60,000 Euros corresponding to implementation in more than one city fulfilling the set criteria.

Actions submitted should be implemented in at least one of the target countries of MC2CM (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Lebanon, Libya and Tunisia) and set out to address an identified need of local urban migration governance in line with the above listed objectives of the call. The full call for Targeted City Actions can be found under this link: https://t.co/vGDmyULvqq.

The Mediterranean City-to-City Migration (MC2CM) project has entered its second phase on 1 July 2018 and will run until 31 March 2021. The project, implemented by ICMPD, UCLG and UN-Habitat, contributes to improved rights-based migration governance in cities through its three components: Dialogue, Knowledge and Action.
