Project Description
Technical Assistance for “Increasing the Policy Making Capacity of Directorate General of International Labour Force in the Field of Labour Migration” to be implemented in Turkey will commence in January 2021 and will be implemented for a period of 30 months.
The objective of the Technical Assistance is to support policy-making regarding labour migration management and to contribute in an inclusive and well-functioning labour market with specific emphasis on decent work. To this aim, it is foreseen to support policy-making, implementation, monitoring and evaluation capacity of the Directorate General of International Labour Force and relevant stakeholders operating in the field of labour migration through trainings, studies, drafting policy paper, organizing conferences and working groups with stakeholders etc. in order to enhance labour migration and national employment policy.

Expert Involvement

Please kindly be informed that all experts are expected to be present in Turkey for a minimum of 90% of the allocated working days.

Qualifications and skills

- Bachelor degree from economics or administrative sciences or social sciences or humanities. In the absence of a degree in these fields, minimum 10 years of working experience in social policy in addition to a bachelor’s degree.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Full computer literacy.
- Postgraduate degree in social sciences will be an asset.

General professional experience

- Preferably 10 but a minimum of 8 years of professional working experience.
Specific professional experience

- Preferably 7 but a minimum 5 years of professional experience as team leader and/or managerial position.

- Preferably 5 but a minimum 3 years of professional experience in the field of labour migration.

- Professional experience in policymaking cycle in the field of social policy will be an asset.

Key Expert 2: Training Expert

Project Description

General professional experience

-Preferably 8 but a minimum of 6 years of professional working experience
Specific professional experience

-Preferably 5 but a minimum 3 years of professional experience in design and/or implementation and/or delivery of trainings in the fields of migration.

-Preferably 4 but a minimum 2 years of professional experience in the field of labour migration.

-Professional experience in design and/or implementation of research activities will be asset.

All experts must be independent and free from conflicts of interest in the responsibilities they take on.
